How this is a team building exercise? Longbottom and Pye are teaming up together - they always work together. Wood and Potter teaming up - they're both Gryffindors and dormmates. The twins are teaming up. So essentially people who would work together anyway are working together on a team building exercise. Therefore making it redundant. Oh, and also it's a competition against teammates rather than pulling together to do something. Wow. Genius plan, Flint. The coach's exercise made more sense than this.

Mine was spent working on the Reserve. We had to do some improvements to the wards and disillusionment spells to keep Muggles away. There are more of their 'tours' coming to the Outer Hebrides these days, it's a bloody pain.

You ken, as far as I'm aware, nae anybody put a wand tae someone's head and made them participate in this tournament. If I'm wrong, correct me. But if I'm nae, where the feck do you get off bitching about Scotland and lauding your country as if you had nae fecking choice about being here. You hate it so much? Bugger off home.

Scotland gets mist too and just because the lake here doesn't freeze it doesn't make this country second-rate.

You can keep it, I'll have the mountains and beaches of the Hebrides any day.

Objectively looking at it, Beauxbatons should have won that game. They were certainly the more superior team in terms of skill and if their Seeker hadn't been affected by that hit then Salem would have lost 90 points to 300. Still, there's no denying there was some good flying on the Salem side and if they tighten their formations and stop getting upset/distracted when a team mate gets bumped with a bludger, then they will actually be very good instead of just good. Some nice saves by the Keeper, but again, 15 got through from Beauxbatons as opposed to nine from Salem.

Good flying from Bexton at the end though. I wasn't expecting that.

It'll be interesting to see how they fare against Durmstrang, there's two months to work on tactics and the advantage of seeing us up against that team as well.

All in all, decent game and good to watch.

Who knew that under all that growl, foul language and general bluster there was a big softy in Flannigan? Thank you Lisa Davies for revealing the truth and really making my day. I also salute you for having the guts to do it, considering that now Mr Flannigan must either prove your photos correct and therefore never be taken seriously again, or say farewell to prove he really is the bad arse he pretends to be. To save you all asking questions I may not answer, here's a summary of Clan MacFusty:

I live on an island in the Outer Hebrides. There's no town, all the people on the island are family members. We run the Hebrides Dragon Reserve, looking after the Hebridean Black. My Da is the Head Keeper.

The main holiday we celebrate is Hogmanay, which is basically New Year's Eve. This involves a massive party and everyone tends to get very drunk. Everyone sings "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight. The celebrations last until mid-morning New Year's Day and then everyone goes to sleep. There's usually a big fire in the fireplace and everyone burns a token in it, to take away bad luck.

The clan also celebrates Beltane, but I miss that because it's on 30 April. There's a big bonfire and an oatmeal cake is cooked in the embers. Once cooked, it's divided and one piece is marked. Adults pick the pieces blindfolded and the one with the marked piece leaps the fire three times to bring luck.

First Multicultural Relations class today. I'm getting a seat at the back and starting on my Transfiguration homework.

Since there's obviously not way to stop them from coming..

I'm not putting up any silly photos, but I suppose I may as well introduce myself.

Charles MacFusty, Slytherin, will be in 7th year. I'm Beater on the Slytherin team. I live on a Dragon Reserve so if anyone of you (and I know one is already) are interested in dragons then we might just get along.

Multicultural relations classes? What the fuck? I don't need bloody 'multicultural' classes. If people overseas can't understand plain English then it's not my problem. Besides, dragon keepers speak the same 'language' the world over so I don't need anymore multicuturing.

On the bright side, Dolag's eggs hatched safely. Three new dragons and I get to observe them until school starts.
